Welcome to WildGuernsey.

Safari Tent2You can stay on the land with our Wildcamping including our new Safari tent from April until the end of September 2016. Join us for one of our workshops; Wildfood foraging. Wildseahore or Fire & Forage.

We have Aranya, an International Permaculture teacher  coming back to WildGuernsey for an Introduction to Permaculture course 10th and 11th Sept, the weekend before The Sark Roots Festival where he will run a series of workshops.

We can also now offer the RYA Powerboat level 2 course with Tara in association with The Guernsey Sailing Trust. A minimum of 3 people to run a  course, so why not come over, attain your PB2 and stay with us? The waters round Guernsey are perfect training grounds to get your confidence up and go back home ready to get out in your own boat.

What is Wild Guernsey?

Wild Guernsey is an educational and sustainable agricultural land project, run by myself (Tara) and D’Arcy, with our sons Hugo and Humphrey. We are living a low-impact lifestyle adopting a land-based, simple, localised lifestyle that works with the land and with natural cycles. We want to re-connect to the land & share this knowledge with those who wish to join us. We run Workshops & Wild foraging courses, offer glamping on the land and sell our range of wild foods (seaweed and foraged food condiments and dried products) at local fairs.  Profits that we make are re-invested in the project.

Now for a bit of zone ’00’, earth education or simplicity living stuff…..We want to provide you with a comfortable, luxurious stay where the luxury is not only to sleep and eat well but regain time, to strip away distractions to enable you to get closer to your surroundings, your family and your self. Small steps made within where we feel at ease can help us make changes in our lives to live more nourished  and able to flourish, whilst opening up our senses to our Earth!

Our ethos

Wild Guernsey is run along the Permaculture principles of earthcare, fairshares, and people care. We are stewards of the environment around us and want to learn how to adapt to living with what we have, and to live for our needs and not our greed.  Read more about our ethos here.

What we can offer

  • A place to be quiet with nature, to observe and interact with it.
  • A place to share skills and knowledge to equip ourselves for the changing environmental challenges.
  • A place to invest time into and reap rewards from the land.
