We have 3 in-situ canvas tents (1 Tipi, 1 Safari tent – new for 2013, and 1 bell tent) and so unfortunately we cannot accommodate a ’bring your own tent’ choice!

Your space

Wake up in one of our canvas tents to the sound of the sea, go swimming before breakfast in the crystal clear waters under Fort Grey.  Cook from one of our  breakfast baskets, sourced locally, over an open fire or in the horsebox kitchen (Tipis only) while you plan your day, or just laze away in the peace and quiet of your own personal tipi or canvas bell tent. You can always go fishing tomorrow, and walk along the cliffs the day after that… We work to create a great balance between fun, laughter and contemplation, nature and comfort, solitude and socialising. Whether for a short break or a long holiday, this is a unique alternative, a place to reconnect with the land.

Your Place

WildGuernsey offers a mixture of old fashioned yet comfortable camping in a beautiful place, with a very modern desire to be more environmentally friendly. It’s a  place to explore your imagination, head down the seashore  to wade through rock pools, fall upon adventures and  discover dinner along the cliff edges to cook on the campfire at dusk.

Activities to meet the ebb and flow of your day

Clear your mind with the flow of your day through the challenge of learning new skills and physical fun, or whilst energies ebb, choose our gentler paced ideas.  We’ll send out details of activities when you book. Choices could include Wildfood foraging, Bushcraft, WildSeaSnorkelling, surfing, guided walking, cycling, fishing, bushcraft, kayaking, tuck into the toy chest or use our collection of ideas to re-kindle the playful spirit in you and your children.

There’s always plenty to do on the land too.  We have Jacob sheep,  Indian runner ducks and chickens.  We also grow food in the green house (glass house), no-dig beds, have self foraging things to collect and encourage WildFood foraging. You can join in with the daily work (Landhand Scheme) or even hire a Chicken Coop for yourself or your children.  This is a great way to learn about caring and feeding for chickens, with information given if you want to take the experience home with you and introduce chickens into your own garden.  In return the chickens will hopefully leave you fresh eggs for breakfast!
